The Chamber is operated and managed by an elected Board of Directors, including the White County Executive, the City of Sparta Mayor and nine Chamber member representatives elected by the membership. These community leaders set the policies and procedures for the Chamber’s program of work, and the staff carries out the mission.

Services. The Chamber is funded in part by the City and County, and in part by membership. These funding investments from the local governmental entities allow the Chamber to provide services at a reduced cost to the community. These services include operating the Visitor Center, responding to relocation and visitor request for information (currently 500+ a month), tracking demographics, providing existing industry and business support and resources, marketing the city and county to tourists and potential residents, as well as recruitment of new industry and business.

Business and individual investment in the Chamber is much more than just a membership. The Chamber serves as the Sparta – White County ‘information clearing house.’ The investment dues include a variety of benefits such as exclusive promotions, direct referrals, online marketing resources, inclusion in Sparta – White County marketing materials to potential and current residents, and other businesses at no added charge. The Chamber also holds special networking opportunities and educational / informational seminars and meetings. We provide new businesses with local resources to encourage local business-to-business networking, maintain the Shop Sparta First campaign (a shop local initiative), and provide other resources and assistance of a wide variety on an individual basis.

There is a committee just waiting on your involvement, your commitment to the growth and improvement of your community is directly related to the growth and improvement of your business. We have a place for you, so come on and enjoy the good life.
