OUR HISTORY
In May, 1895 a meeting was called among the businessmen & citizens of the community to form an association under the name of the “Chamber of Commerce of Sparta”.
The Sparta – White County Chamber of Commerce is the oldest, longest running Chamber in Tennessee!

About Us
The Chamber is operated and managed by an elected Board of Directors, including the White County Executive, the City of Sparta Mayor and nine Chamber member representatives elected by the membership. These community leaders set the policies and procedures for the Chamber’s program of work, and the staff carries out the mission.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Sparta-White County Chamber of Commerce is organized for the purpose of promoting business and community growth and development. As the premier resource center, this Chamber will strive to make Sparta-White County a better place to live, work worship, learn and conduct business.
